what is paint polishing

What is Paint Polishing?

Scratches and swirls on your paint are because of microscopic valleys in the clearcoat layer of the paint on the surface reflecting light unevenly. Paint polishing involves using a varying degree of light abrasives (compounds/polishes) and pads on a polishing machine to slowly even out your paint and restore or improve on the original paint of the vehicle.

1 Stage Correction

Our one step paint polishing service starts with our exterior executive clean to ensure your paint is safe and ready to start polishing. This is then followed by our one step cut and polish compound which will help restore your paint and get rid of a lot of scratches and swirls but won’t return your paint to perfection.

$350 – $450

2 Stage Correction

Our two step polish stage starts with an exterior executive detail to ensure your paint is spotless and safe to get started polishing. Then we start with a cutting stage that will smooth out a large variety of issues with your paint to a much better condition using a cutting compound and pad. This is then followed by a separate polishing compound that is less abrasive and completely smooths out your paint leaving you with a spotless finish. This is resets your paint and removes any previous protection on it. We then apply a spray sealant to the paint or if selected move onto a ceramic coating (Not included in price).

$450 – $650
